Geri N. Kahn is designated a certified specialist in Immigration and Nationality Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. She specializes in removal (deportation) defense, business, and family immigration matters.  She represents applicants for political asylum, professionals and religious workers and individuals at all stages of the naturalization process.  Ms. Kahn also practices Social Security Disability law and represents disabled individuals at administrative hearings and in federal court.  Ms. Kahn has been a member of the California Bar since 1990, and is a member of the United States District Court (Northern and Eastern Districts of California), the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Ms. Kahn received her undergraduate education at the University of California at Santa Cruz, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Politics with College Honors. She received her law degree from the University of San Francisco in 1990.

She is an active participant in professional law associations, having served as a Commissioner with the State Bar of California’s Board of Legal Specialization’s Immigration and Nationality Law Advisory Commission for three years, and as a liaison to the Board of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Northern California. She has spoken at local and regional conferences and panels.

Ms. Kahn has been awarded an AV rating by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, the highest rating for competence and ethics issued by that publication, and reserved for attorneys designated as outstanding in their field.
